I spent a good portion of my day with my daughter’s pre-K class teaching them all about Ansel Adams. They are learning about all different artist’s and Mr. Adams was the photographer they are studying. I brought in cameras for all the kids to use and we had fun playing outside, taking pictures of nature and trying to “see the light”. These are a few images photographed. Keep in mind, that all these images were all shot by 4 year old children! Incredible!

Gasp! The early morning light on a crisp Florida morning is breath-taking! The family is adorable as well. Incredible that the first image you see was the first frame shot that morning. We started off fantastic and it just got better…

I still can’t over just how good Seamus, the dog, was during this session! I have a 7 month golden puppy and seeing how well Seamus behaved really made me realize what a long way to go I have with my wild man. Hmm..training classes might just be the perfect gift for my husband this holiday…

These days, so many families are spread all over the country that it’s only once or twice a year that they can all get together. I really enjoyed watching this family come together, interact and enjoy each other during the session. The more my client’s are relaxed and enjoying their time together, the better their photos are going to be. This family was just so warm and kind that they were a joy to be around. We began photographing at 6:50AM and can you believe the next time I looked at my watch it was almost 8:30! Time flies when you are having fun…

This rustic backyard was the perfect setting for this family portrait shoot. How amazing does this mom look? Although we have great shots of the family together, my absolute favorite image from this session is of the mom alone on the ottoman. Her kids were running around the yard and she was yelling at them to get come join her. I could learn a little something from her because I would have been getting madder and madder if I had been in her shoes. But not her. She just threw her head back and laughed at the situation which is when I snapped this shot. It’s my favorite from the day.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed my time with this new client. Not only are her kids wonderful to photograph, but she has these beautiful dogs that were simply so much fun! She’s on her way to a new journey and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to be there to capture the beginning steps!

This adorable couple flew ALL the way down from New Jersey to have their engagement photos taken! We photographed in three locations and they brought great outfits for each spot. Julie, you just beamed and it was an absolute joy to photograph you. See you in Orlando for the wedding!
